Professional Pathogen Destroyer for Commercial Environments

The React-Air X is a portable air sanitiser designed for use in hospital and care environments. Using a unique UV-C light array, the powerful fans drive the airflow through the decontamination chamber, neutralising bacteria, viruses, pollen and odours, delivering clean and sterile air to a room. Unlike ozone generators, it can be used whilst people remain in the room and generates no harmful gasses and at a fraction of the price of leading portable ozone generators. When used in conjunction with normal cleaning techniques, it is highly effective in the fight against bacteria and viruses.

UV-C technology has been used for many years to sterilise hospitals, operating theatres and surgical instruments.

When placed in a room with an airborne viral or bacterial risk, the RAX circulates the air up to 8 times per hour (depending on room size).  Use our room / air exchange calculator here.

Its quiet operation, portable design and high-powered UV-C technology is the perfect combination for intermittent or constant use within a care environment.

How Can the React-Air X Help Beat Viruses?

The React-Air X is the bigger brother of our classic React-Air One model of pathogen neutralisers. Seated on durable castors, its stronger, more durable casing combined with 30% more UV-C emission, higher-powered fans, and improved dwell time makes it ideal for heavy-duty, commercial environments.

The three main types of UV rays are UVA, UVB, and UVC. Because UV-C rays have the shortest wavelength, and therefore highest energy, they are capable of killing bacteria and viruses, also called pathogens.  UVC light has a wavelength of between 200 and 400 nanometers (nm). It is highly effective at decontamination because it destroys the molecular bonds that hold together the DNA of viruses and bacteria, including "superbugs" which have developed a stronger resistance to antibiotics.

Powerful UV-C light has been regularly used to decontaminate surgical tools and hospital rooms. A study that included 21,000 patients (1) who stayed overnight in a room where someone had been previously treated found that sanitising a hospital room with UV-C light in addition to traditional methods of cleaning cut transmission of drug-resistant bacteria by 30%. This is partly because UVC light can effectively sanitise hard-to-clean nooks and crannies. UV-C light also works by destroying the DNA of pathogens, which makes it effective against "superbugs."

What our customers are saying:

We have been using the Reaction Group React Air X unit in each of our care homes since June. I was sourcing a number of similar products however the React Air X seemed best value for money and I am glad we were proactive in purchasing these. They are easy to use with just a simple plug & switch. We feel they are safe to use around the homes and they are easily portable.

As advised when purchasing the initial units, we were told that they can sanitise the air in a standard residents room in under an hour which is brilliant for our use. They are now part of our daily cleaning procedures to sanitise bedrooms as well as common areas such as living rooms and dining rooms. With cases rising nationally, we feel it is a paramount requirement to ensure the safety of our staff and residents so have already placed an additional order.

Our products have been tested and proven effective against Covid-19

Our React-Air Technology has been tested by CDC approved laboratories in the United States for their effectiveness against removing and neutralising airborne (aerosolised) Covid-19 from the air.  In multiple trials, our 'Destroyer' technology proved a 89% neutralisation rate of Covid-19 under test conditions, within 15 minutes of operation.

Trials were undertaken by introducing airborne (aerosolised) Covid-19 in to a sealed test-environment.  After a number of control tests (without our technology) and full tests (with our technology), airborne Covid-19 was found to be reduced from 27% of average control test degradation to 89% with our React-Air Technology in place, within 15 miuntes.

Studies by The University of Boston undertaken in 2020 have shown that Covid-19 is highly susceptible to UVC light.  Japanese scientists have been conducting studies on the effects of ozone in neutralising Covid-19 on surfaces and have shown it to be highly effective with a 90% sterilisation rate.  This information, published by research.net shows the results and effective dosages of UV-C light required to inactivate various strains of coronavirus.
