Electrician - UK, Excluding Scotland and Northern Ireland

We are currently recruiting for full time field-based qualified electricians across the UK (excluding Scotland and Northern Ireland), to undertake fixed-wire testing (EICR) and occasionally remedial work at our clients’ sites.

Successful candidates would mainly be working by themselves with minimal supervision to the required quality and safety standards, whilst also ensuring that cost effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.

It is essential that applicants are willing to travel within a 100-mile radius of their home address on a daily basis, so must hold a full UK driving licence.

 

Note: We are not accepting applications from Scotland and Northern Ireland.

- Salary £34,000 to £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience/location) + overtime + paid travel time (OTE £55,000 +)

The ideal candidate will:

-Have experience of testing, inspecting and the completion of Electrical Installation

Condition Reports (EICR) within commercial buildings.

-Hold City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

-Hold City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test and Inspection) Certificate.

-Hold City & Guilds 236(0) or equiv (Buildings and Structures) Certificate.

-Hold a full UK Driving Licence.

-Have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as City & Guilds or NVQ

Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate. Proof of time served is also acceptable.

-Be flexible to support business and client’s needs.

-Be computer literate.

Experience:

  • Fixed wire: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • 18th edition certificate (preferred)

  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test & Inspection) Cert (preferred)

  • City & Guilds 236(0) or equiv (Buildings & Structures) Cert. (preferred)

Electricians Mate/ Improver - Dorchester, Dorset

We are currently recruiting for an Electricians Mate/Improver to carry out electrical installations and servicing of React-Air products alongside the lead electrician. Adhering to health and safety requirements, whilst showing a willingness to develop lead electrician qualities/capabilities.

The successful candidate must:

-Hold a full UK driving licence and live within a reasonable commuting distance of our

Head Office in Dorchester, Dorset.

-Be skilled with common workplace software in particular Microsoft Word and Excel.

-Have completed further education courses though not have necessarily passed all the

examinations, associated with the appropriate training scheme. These will normally be

either the City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2, or the City & Guilds 2352, or the City and

Guilds 2330.

-Have been a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method of training, whether attendance at college or on-site work experience and have had practical training  in electrical installation work.

-Under the supervision of a fully skilled operative, be able to install wiring systems, wiring enclosures and electrical equipment required by electrical installation work in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Regulations for Electrical Installations and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations. An Electrical Improver will not be deemed competent to carry out final connections, isolation of supplies or any form of inspection or testing.

The successful applicant must also be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
