Enhanced Levels of Safety and Cleanliness
The React Air range uses powerful HEPA and UVC filtration to remove viruses, bacteria and bad smells from a room. Healthcare environments across the UK have been utilising these systems throughout the Covid-19 crisis, to provide enhanced levels of safety and cleanliness for their patients, staff and visitors.
Independently tested and proven to destroy Covid-19 in the air, React-Air systems also feature advanced air monitoring capabilities.
Utilising highly accurate onboard sensors, the units monitor air quality, carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity and air exchange levels. This measurement technology is available as standard on our React-Air standalone units, such as the Impact, Evo and Expanse, or can be integrated into our React-Air Induct and HVAC UVC array installations. Users are able to view detailed air quality information on the unit touch screen, or via control screens mounted within hospital wards.
Our monitoring technology also links wirelessly to the cloud, by connecting the system to WiFi. Carbon dioxide, air quality, air exchange rates, temperature and humidity information is then logged and stored on your client portal, allowing you to monitor levels, make adjustments and prove historical compliance with government recommendations.
Data storage of this information is available for 5 years, and accessible through the React-Air desktop and mobile applications.
Where a WiFi connection is not available, our React-Air technology is also available with a 4G mobile data connection.

The React-Air monitoring system uses state-of-the-art measurement contained within the React-Air device. Measurements are taken every 10 seconds to ascertain:
Lamp Function and Brightness
Over time, all UV Germicidal Lamps will lose brightness and the surfaces become contaminated by impurities in the air. Once this reaches a threshold, the in-built UV monitor alerts the user that a service is required.
Air Quality
The integrated air quality monitor measures air impurities down to 0.1um. Every 10 seconds, this information is recorded and sent back to the building’s base unit to show real-time air quality information.
Air Flow and Air Exchange Rates
By constantly monitoring air-flow volume through each one of the Impact units, the React-Air system calculates the number of hourly, daily, and weekly air exchanges in your building.
The 3 Stage Process for Eliminating Covid-19
1. HEPA 14 Filtration
Using the React-Air’s high-pressure fan, air is passed through a HEPA 14 filter to remove 80% of particles 0.3-1 microns. This process removes pollens, bacteria and viruses bonded to larger particles such as water droplets (the primary way Covid-19 spreads through airborne transmission).
2. Powerful UV Array
The filtered air is then passed through a UVC array, which delivers a dose of 250J/M3 – enough to neutralise Covid-19 (67J/M3 for one second of exposure according to studies). The effect of the UVC Array is intensified by its polished aluminium interior. UVC renders virus particles inert (sterile) by changing the molecular structure of the virus DNA.
3. Activated Carbon Filter
Finally, the air is passed through an activated carbon filter to remove any remaining odours. As well as removing any natural odours in the environment, the reaction between UVC and dust particles creates a mild, but for many people, unpleasant smell – all are removed with Activated Carbon.
