We can undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports in accordance with BS7671 to keep your building safe and legally compliant.  EICR's should be carried out every 1-5 years, depending on your premises type.  If you have multiple sites, our online report management system is a unique tool which allows you to easily manage your compliance program.  We undertake this type of reporting for some of the UK's biggest brands.

Fire Risk Assessments

From 1st October 2006 The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the Responsible Person (RP) of any non-domestic premises to carry out a fire risk assessment, including measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of fire, and identify persons at risk.  Many organisations do not have the experience or competencies to do this in-house, and so our fully qualified and accredited Fire Risk Assessment team can help you to comply with this critically important legislation.

Thermal Imaging Surveys

Thermal imaging is a highly effective tool for identifying potential fire risks in your electrical system. Whilst a fixed wire test will identify electrical faults, it will not identify many overheating components which can cause fire. Therefore, combining thermal imaging with your fixed electrical inspection will provide unparalleled levels of safety. Thermal Imaging involves an engineer visiting your premises armed with a powerful camera that uses infra-red technology to detect heat. This type of inspection is also non-disruptive and no power down of your essential systems is required.

PAT testing

Portable Appliance Testing should be carried out by any organisation that uses electrical appliances – which is just about every organisation in the UK. Insurance companies are also becoming far more insistent that this type of testing be carried out at least every 12 months. Many local council inspectors are making it a routine part of their audits. It is therefore clear that PAT testing is one of the basic health & safety tasks that every business and public sector organisation should undertake. Whatever your PAT testing needs, Reaction Group has the experience, resources and skilled operatives to ensure that your testing program goes as smoothly as possible.

Emergency Lighting Design, Installation & Testing

You can never predict when you may need it, so it’s vital that your emergency lighting is effective and regularly tested to ensure it complies with BS5266-1. Emergency lighting systems are installed to provide assistance in evacuating a building in the event of loss of supply to the general lighting circuits through fire, for instance. It is the responsibility of all employers to ensure that these systems are suitably maintained and checked to ensure they are safe and compliant. Not only can Reaction Group design and install your complete emergency lighting system, we can provide regular maintenance, plus statutory 6 month and annual NICEIC-approved testing, to ensure it continues to work as efficiently as it should.
